Armstrong Auditorium
Edmond Music, Theater & Galleries
Armstrong Auditorium opened its doors for the first time in 2010 and has since hosted a bevy of world-class performing artists, including Joshua Bell, the Vienna Boys Choir, The King's Singers and more - bringing not just concerts, but also cultural experiences to the metro area.
The auditorium is an experience all its own. The lobby is adorned with Swarovski crystal-trimmed chandeliers, Baccarat crystal candelabras, American cherrywood veneers, Spanish marble and Azerbaijani onyx. The concert hall was designed and constructed for the finest acoustic projection and balance, with an extremely low nine-millisecond time-delay gap (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sound_localization#Distance_of_the_sound_source). The ratio comparing the volume of the hall to each seat is more ideal in Armstrong Auditorium that in Amsterdam's Concertgebouw, Boston's Symphony Hall or Vienna's Musikverein- the three world standards engineers use to measure acoustic quality.
Armstrong Auditorium is where art meets auditory science. Experience it for yourself.
